Throughout Scripture, God is revealed as the ultimate authority, the sovereign Ruler, and the righteous Judge over all creation. Yet the Bible also attributes these same divine roles to Jesus. He possesses authority over heaven and earth, rules with divine power, and will one day judge every person with perfect righteousness. These passages provide another powerful testimony to the deity of Jesus and demonstrate that the authority, rule, and judgment belonging to God are also exercised by the Son.
