Worship is more than singing, praising, or bowing before God. True worship is our response to who God is and to the greatness of His character, authority, and works. Worship belongs to God alone, yet according to Scripture, we find Jesus receiving the same honor, devotion and worship that belongs to God. People responded to Jesus with worship, reverence, obedience, and praise. These responses reveal how Jesus was honored by those who encountered Him, which is testimony to His divine identity. If Jesus receives the worship that belongs to God, then the question becomes unavoidable: Who is Jesus?
