Who to Praise

We are called to give God the glory, honor, and thanksgiving for Who He is and for all He has done. Yet Scripture says we are to give the same praise to Christ.

God:‍ ‍Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
(1 Peter  1:3-5)

Jesus: Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them proceeds the human descent of Christ, who is God over all, forever worthy of praise, Amen!
(Romans 9:5)

The Father is praised, and the Son is praised. The One who is worthy of praise is not merely pointing us toward God—He is worthy of our praise because He is God.
