He Will Come With His Holy Ones
God: Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with Him. On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. It will be a day known only to the LORD, without day or night; but when evening comes, there will be light. (Zech. 14:3-7)
Jesus: When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. (Matt. 25:31) so that He may establish your hearts in blame- lessness and holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. Amen. (1 Thes. 3:13) This will take place when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels (2 Thes 1:10). Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied about them: “Behold, the Lord is coming with myriads of His holy ones to execute judgment on everyone, and to convict all the ungodly… keep yourself in the love of God as you await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life. (Jude 1: 14-15, 21) They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and He will be accompanied by His called and chosen and faithful ones." (Rev. 17:14)
Christ’s return connects His glory with fulfillment of prophecy. Scripture describes the coming of the Lord as a glorious event witnessed by all creation. The prophets foretold that He would come with His holy ones, bringing judgment, righteousness, and the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan. These passages reveal that Jesus Christ will return in divine glory, accompanied by His saints and heavenly hosts, as the promised King and Lord.
The return of Jesus Christ with His holy ones is a powerful reminder that God’s promises will be fulfilled exactly as He has spoken. The One who came in humility will return in majesty and glory, surrounded by those who belong to Him. These scriptures point to Jesus as the eternal Lord whose reign will be revealed before all creation.
